Infertility is “a disease of the reproductive system defined by the failure to achieve a clinical pregnancy after 12 months or more of regular unprotected sexual intercourse.”
my journey began in a consultants office of a north London NHS hospital. The doctor told me that I would be able to conceive, however, it was unlikely that this would be naturally.
He reassured me that he would be referring me to one of the best hospital’s in London for IVF, the Imperial Hammersmith hospital. He didn’t really explain much and I wasn’t quite sure how to feel. I had no idea what the procedure entailed and was too shook up to ask any questions. Among the confusion, I did have one feeling. Numbness.
